WHO WE ARE
OUR MISSION
The Holyoke Safe Neighborhood Initiative is a creation of the Hampden County Sheriff's Department which operates as a partnership between local, state & federal law enforcement; city & state government; civic & human service organizations; faith based organizations; the business community; education providers; property managers; and residents coming together with a goal to create safe, healthy & economically viable neighborhoods through information sharing, identifying at-risk youth, referrals and community efforts in specific Holyoke neighborhoods.
LEADERSHIP VISION
My name is Eddie Caisse and I have been working at the Hampden County Sheriff’s Department (HCSD) for the past 29 years.
In those years and specifically in the past seventeen years, I have seen firsthand many of the root causes that have influenced young people to go down a road that has led to incarceration.
My vision for the Holyoke Safe Neighborhood Initiative is to build unity within our community and create opportunities for youth and families to be connected to the support they need to live healthy, happy and economically viable lives and to be part of making Holyoke a better Holyoke.
NEIGHBORHOOD COORDINATORS
Play a vital role in developing relationships with key stakeholders and community residents through outreach, community activities and neighborhood meetings. Our vision is to have neighborhood wards work together to address quality of life and crime issues, thus making our neighborhoods safer for youth and families.
