PROGRAMS FOR FAMILIES
HOW WE ENGAGE

TESTIMONIALS
The Texidor & Rosado Family
"The Holyoke Safe Neighborhood Initiative has opened doors for my family and me to give back to this community through giving a helping hand in times of need. We have seen them provide free services and providing resources to the families in need.
Thank you Holyoke Safe Neighborhood Initiative for giving us the opportunity. We pray to God that He will guide and protect the people behind this great Initiative."

"I got involved with the Holyoke Safe Neighborhood Initiative by watching my oldest son play in their basketball league. I started as a spectator, but as the years went by, I was asked to volunteer and assist with events. It has been an amazing experience for me to volunteer to assist kids that have nobody to turn to and being there for the kids has made me feel so good, actually amazing."

"I've been with Eddie and the Initiative for about 7 years. Seeing these boys grow into young men and graduating high school has been an amazing experience. It's not just about basketball. In my opinion, the pre-game sessions that we have before each game in which we discuss topics such as anti-bullying, online awareness and career exploration has not only been transformative for the players, but also the volunteers and coaches themselves. We connect with our players and establish relationships that last beyond the basketball court."
